As a business, we understand that every business has its own model and approach. However, we believe that welcoming kids as clients is a vital aspect of our business. By not doing so, we are missing out on a significant market. On a personal level, I still remember one of my earliest haircuts with my dad and brothers, which was a bonding moment for us. It was made possible by a patient and professional barber. Patience is a necessary quality for almost every discipline, especially for being a barber or stylist. At Chair 1 Barber & Salon, we have a wide range of kid clients, including artistic kids that vary in range on the spectrum, and we love them all.

We understand that some kids can be a handful, but that's just their nature. With patience, guidelines, and a fair price, having kids as clients can be a rewarding and positive experience for both the professional and the child. For professionals and parents, we suggest explaining to the parents of new kid clients not to expect too much from their child's first appointment. Allow the child to get acclimated to the new experience for the first few visits, without extravagant styling. Once the child becomes more comfortable, then the actual style that the parents want can become more involved. However, every child is different, and we have experienced it all here at Chair 1 Barber & Salon. Some kids sat through their first appointment without breaking a sweat, while others needed a little more patience and understanding.
